Oneness of mankind |
As an airline captain, I had witnessed from the cockpit of my plane the wonder and beauty of nature; the magnificent horizon of God and the many glorious stars of frontier; the indescribable and incomparable universe of God; the power of our Lord and his great messengers who gave us the ability to perform our profession with utmost accuracy and discipline. My crew enjoyed the work with unity regardless of their religion, nationality, race, culture and tribe. |
Oneness of Mankind
The Bahá'í Faith has this principle, to unite the people with a refining characteristics to live in genuine peace and tranquility. Our grace and personification are in the will and resolution of Almighty God. We, therefore, rely on the luminous, spiritually powered existence. Bahá'u'lláh's firm proclamation for the oneness of mankind will change the hearts of all divided parties and will create unifying environments to enable people from all walks of life, regardless of nationalities, religions or color, to settle down and work together constantly for the joy of life and prosperity.
"You are leaves of one tree and the fruits of one branch."
Any dispersion among the people results in the formation of class division, bringing misery, anxiety and disturbance. It makes reconciliation among the human race impossible, preventing unity.
Investigation of the Truth
We must investigate divine matters and discover the truth to satisfy our minds and our hearts. Once we have studied and discovered the real truth and the dispenser of our soul, we must embrace and moved our hearts and actions to this new splendid direction. There should be no intimidation for spiritual understanding, and we should not rely solely on the recommendations and opinions of people without first giving our own consideration to them.
We should follow a logical reason for the acceptance of the strong findings in order to move forward in a resolute and steadfast manner.
"Happy are those who spend their days in gaining knowledge, in discovering the secrets of nature, and in penetrating the subtleties of pure truth..."
Religion must be in harmony with Mind, Science & Technology
Religion must agree with scientific facts and evidence, so that our struggle to survive moves in a peaceful and progressive direction.
God gifted man a catalogue of reasons and facts to enable him to find his life in harmony with science and human understanding. The discovery of the realities of life is an important factor in survival and every human should try throughout his or her life to investigate the meaning of this life through holy books, science and education. Therefore, Bahá'u'lláh insisted on full harmony between religion, science and technology. Religion must agree with scientific facts so that our struggle to survive moves in a peaceful and affectionate direction, providing the opportunity to communicate with each other in the Bahá'í way, the language of the heart, and of love.
" Coordinations between religions and scientific discoveries would help the humanity to progress, religion should guide science ethically and ensure that it is put to good use rather than bad..."
Religion must cause Kindness & Affection
Religion must cause unity and affection, so that trust and confidence among the people in different religions start to increase.
Gradually, the boundaries of division and hatred will vanish, to be replaced by a growing, unparalleled grace of peace and respect. This is the challenge for us, as Bahá'ís to tell everyone in different ways about the legitimacy of this providential principle or the necessity of our survival. More trust and confidence will result in less war and friction; will be able to live in a better society, with better jobs and incomes, and the huge military bud-gets will decrease as the result of fewer hostilities between nations.
" Divine kingdom will be established, and the world will be renewed; a new spirit will be breathed into the body of creation; the season of the divine spring will come; the clouds of mercy will rain; the sun of reality will shine; the life-giving breeze will blow; the world of humanity will wear a new garment; the surface of the earth will be sublime paradise; mankind will be educated; wars, disputes, quarrels and malignity will disappear, and truthfulness and righteousness, peace and worship of God will appear; union, love and brotherhood will surround the world; and God will rule for evermore - meaning, that the Spiritual and Everlasting Kingdom will be established. Such is the day of God."
Equality between men and women
The Bahá'í Faith believes in a strong voice of God that men and women are all the children of God and God gave them life in equal love and support. They should have been an equal opportunity to identify themselves with equal rights and respect.
" The body of the bird is the world of humanity and the two wings represent the male and female, by any reason if one wing is defective the strong perfect wing is not able to fly."
Privilege may come for either of them for their achievements, for instance in sports, science and literature and outstanding service to the world of humanity, not discriminating on the grounds of gender.
Equality between all Mankind
There are so much discrimination among people, affecting their human rights, freedom of speech, freedom of expression and their job qualifications. The United Nation's declaration on human rights, in many cases, does not affect the decision maker's attitude to follow the rules; as a result, there are substantial, hardworking and honourable people who cannot exercise their rights, due to inti mi-d at ions and other pressures brought to bear on them. The Bahá'í Faith believes clearly that the oneness of mankind and the necessary consideration for equal opportunity, rights and respect are for all the people.
Government under man-made political system will not be able to establish equal opportunity for every citizen's rights and work.
" The divine religions must be the cause of oneness among men, the means of unity and love; they must promulgate universal peace, free man from every prejudice, bestow joy and gladness, exercise kindness to all men and do away with every difference and distinction..."
Universal Justified Government
In today's divided world, there is a danger of war and aggression, resulting in the destruction of towns and cities, and lose of lives. Each side has to work hard for many years to repair the damages and produce jobs and businesses for their nations. Billions of pounds of taxpayers' money are used for military budget, leaving little to spend on health care, education and other essential services.
War after war against so may innocent people produced poverty, sickness and unemployment. the only international body, the United Nations, do not have the power to stop member states going to war or causing aggression. Bahá'u'lláh told us that a stable international peace is a crucial key to stopping war and the killing of many innocent people.
The BahÁ'Í Faith believes that only the United Nations' justified world government can represent the people of the earth and could provide the kind of peaceful life that has been dreamed of. This radical changes and transformations need a change of heart and morality in the people. The evil phase of prejudice and selfishness would be eradicated and mankind will come up with a real resolution to save planet Earth and all her people.
" The time must come when the imperative necessity for the holding of a vast, an all-embracing assemblage of men will be universally realized..."
Universal Language
Misunderstanding among the people who do not speak the same language may create friction and may lead to negative outcomes, especially in religion and spiritual communication.
It is vital to speak the same language to express our views and our opinions in all subjects. We can relay clearly our message, for instance, when we speak about the Bahá'í Faith, the Bahá'í way of life and the Bahá'í people to the world's community. Therefore, a universal language is needed to remove the barrier of misunderstanding so that the communication goes on fully to be effective with positive results.
" They would in this way be acquiring only two languages one their own native tongue, the other the language in which all the peoples of the world converse."
Universal Peace
Bahá'u'lláh wrote to the heads of the states, kings and queens of his time, urging them to get together and establish trust and peace among each other and to understand the principle of his manifestation, " Universal Peace and Unity of the People " The question comes into our minds: how can we change the world and accomplish unity with all its problems facing us, such as war after war, aggression after aggression and vagrancy after vagrancy?
The vital solution for the world order will be our strong belief in the oneness of mankind from our hearts and to adapt ourselves to life and work without prejudice of any kind.
" Religion is the greatest of all means for the establishment of order in the world and for peaceful contentment of all that dwell therein."
Universal High Quality Education
Without quality education in today's world, people experience apprehension, problems and barriers of misunderstanding.
Employers search for highly qualified people, and reject applicants who do not have higher education. Discovery of so many items in science, technology and literature has created outstanding inventions, such as transport, electricity, telecommunications and the many thousand other inventions of the last century. These inventions have changed the world greatly and have led to a better life for many people. These achievements would never happen without many great, worthy people having achieved a quality education. They worked hard, used their talents and unique skill, and their education to discover many things. In Bahá'u'lláh's time, there were none of these things, but God's message to him was clear.
BahÁ'Í children learned the messages of Bahá'u'lláh from their honourable teachers and parents concerning how to establish their lives for the services of all nations.
" When we consider existence, we see that the mineral, vegetable, animal and human worlds are all in the need of an educator. "
Spiritual Justified Solutions to the Economy Problems
The Bahá'í Faith believes that radical changes are needed in order to provide a minimum acceptable standard of living, so that all mankind can possess the convenience and joy of life.
Change of heart and understanding, compelling legislation and making readjustments are key to improving the life of citizens. A rich man may have all the joy and happiness of living in his luxurious environment, but he could also have the heart to be merciful to the poor.
This help to the poor is one sign of radical change, removing all the boundaries and creating a united world government, cutting defence budgets and reducing the amount of military equipment purchased. Another courageous way of showing radical change is to encourage the nations of the world to enter into a dialogue on how to avoid war and create unity, to live together side by side and heart by heart. We could save millions of pounds in so doing.
" It is important to limit riches as it is important to limit poverty. Either extreme is not good. "
Eliminations of all Prejudices
God created the earth, all the people, plants and animals. The same atmosphere is available the world over and there is no preference from Almighty God for human habitations. Over millions of years, man created prejudice, hate and war that divided the land and form new countries, in their own names, resulting in the spread of nationalities.
Prejudice then went further, targeting different races, different skin colors. Man began to treat his fellow man with cruelty and harassment, acting without regard or reverence, and did not provide a satisfactory environment to live and associate with each other in peace and good humour.
The Bahá'í Faith believes that the world of humanity is just one race and the lands of the earth are one place in which to live. These boundaries and national barriers are man-made and have no spiritual foundations in front of our Almighty God. Mankind must be free of harm and intimidation. Privilege of all their rights and joy of their life will not come into full effect without first removing all the prejudices from the heart of mankind.
" All prejudices, whether of religion, races, politics or nations, must be renounced, for these prejudices have caused the world's sickness. It is a grave malady which, unless arrested, is capable of causing the destruction of the whole human race. Every ruinous war, with its terrible bloodshed and misery, has been caused by one or other of these prejudice. "
Spiritual Foundation of all Religions is the same
All the messengers of the Almighty God came to the people to educate in the meaning and purpose of our existence and our world of humanity, so we can develop maturity in our hearts and in our souls; to establish ourselves in our day-to-day lives in a vigilant, self-possessed and cheerful way, with a grace and pleasant manner.
We should love, care and respect each other and be ready to help bravely and genuinely if needed.
The moral principles and conscience of mankind taught by all messengers of God are always the same in all religions. The material affairs of all the people are changeable according to the time, location, conditions and different capacities of the people.
"God's purpose in sending His prophet unto men is twofold. The first is to liberate the children of men from the darkness of ignorance, and guide them to the light of true understanding. The second is to ensure the peace and tranquillity of mankind, and provide all the means by which they can be established."
Elimination of Superstitions
Imaginary beliefs from the past are still practiced among people, and play an important role in their day-to-day behaviour. The Bahá'í Faith believes that superstitions do not help anybody to understand the reality of life. We, Bahá'ís,consider modern science and technology to be our bright paths, gifted to us by the glorious power of Almighty God for our survival. These outstanding works changed our lives and restored our human integrity. The answers to many difficult questions are discovered in clean, logical and mathematical ways.
Following imaginary ideas in our life separates us from real education and hinders our faith in God.
Any practice of that nature does not allow mankind to improve its knowledge, leaving unable to progress further. As a result, their way of life will be confined and will add to the tensions and divisions that exist among the people. We, Bahá'ís, work hard to achieve a true education base on science and technology, and we enhance ourselves with upcoming inventions and new logical discoveries.
Group of Happy Baha'is together from around the world.
How joyfully could see Baha'is pretty smooth;
Day to day coming so promising , so good.
