One of the important teachings and principles of the Baha'i Faith is Religion must be in Harmony w/ Sound Mind, Technology and Science. In this way, our movement or our achievements go peacefully and progressively to the right direction. God never send a messenger to tell any direction which is contrary to sound mind, science and technology. In fact God gave us the power to investigate and analyse the things which way is better for our life to be more comfortable and we will receive blessings and prosperity from God. At the same time God gave us a catalogue of reason so we will discover about the meaning of this life and discover this great universe to do something for our selves to make our life better.

All these inventions and all these creations happened, say, in the last hundred years, look how far these changes change our lives. Supposed hundreds years ago, in the transportation, air transportation was not there. In 1904, two people - two American brothers, they created a small plane; it flew fifty-seven seconds and landed only two to three hundred yards. And that was the first air plane they had ever done those days, in 1904.

Since then, another twenty years they studied, and sea-plane came in the thirties and it could take passengers, too, with a piston engine. Then aircraft came again, initially, with a piston engine, it could take twenty to thirty passengers. In the forties, they created a jet-engine for the bigger air planes that could make the speed faster, which could go higher and could take more passengers and could go more duration none stop. This is the way aviation came. Until now we could see today in the air thousands of the plane everyday; small one, big one, jet piston, helicopter flying. Millions of people are travelling from A, to the B and C much more comfortable, safe and secure. That is one part of aviation which has changed.

What about the medicine, the medical technology, how far this has progressed. Hundred years ago, many diseases were incurable, but now you could see the difference.

What about the communication? Look at the communication, hundred years ago until now, we have the mobile phone, e-mail, online; these all show that God gave us a catalogue of reason, for the discover and find ourselves better life. There is a one point that I am going to tell you that is regrettable. At the same time, we have done so much progress in this way, to make our life; human, also created all these military equipment for destruction and killing the enemy. This is very regrettable.

Right now, Baha'i Faith believes that millions of people; they don't want war, they don't want hate; they don't prejudice. The Baha'i Faith believes that soon there will be a treaty by all the nations. A treaty of peace will be signed and there will be no more people - no more country that want to buy a fighter air plane, bomber air plane and atomic bomb and any other war equipment.

That is what the Baha'i Faith believes always, there is a harmony between science, technology and all these discoveries with the holy books.

I will read you some of our holy writings for that:

"Coordinations between religions and scientific discoveries would help the humanity to progress, religion should guide science ethically and ensure that it is put to good uses rather than bad. The knowledge and the technological discovery and understanding should be used for the benefit of the people so war may cease on the face of this beautiful earth. In Baha'i way, we are looking with strong hope that in the near future a world peace treaty would be established and inventions for military use will not interest any government or individual and the new discoveries will be encouraged as the servant for world peace."
