One of the teachings and principles of the Baha'i Faith is Elimination of Superstitions. The imaginary beliefs and ideas from the past are still practiced among the people. It does have an important effect in their lives and on their day-to-day behaviour. The Baha'i Faith believes that superstitions don't help any one to understand the true meaning of our life and our God's universe.

The modern science and technology is our glorious path gifted to us from Almighty God to survive. By using it, our lives become better and our human integrity is restored better. Following imaginary ideas and beliefs in our lives separate us from real education and knowledge, and hinder our faith in God.

Those people who are practicing imaginary beliefs and ideas, their real education do not progress further. Therefore, the tensions, divisions and misunderstandings which exist among the people become more and more.

The Baha'i Faith is campaigning for these superstitions to be eliminated and modern science & technology to take over. We thank those many outstanding-honourable people in the past and now, who discovered many important questionable items about us and our God's power and the universe. Also to many outstanding people who invented many important items for our life such as; air planes, cars, televisions, computer and many electronic items, telephones and others. These inventions help our lives easily and comfortably, (faster moving, having long and joyful life,too). Our human integrity also has been restored much better and better.

Now I read you some holy writings:

"It is education that produces wonderful industries; it is education that spreads great sciences and arts; it is education that makes manifest new discoveries. If a man be left in the wilderness and superstitions where he sees none of his own kind, he will undoubtedly become a mere brute; it is then clear that an educator is needed."
