Today, I am going to speak about Baha'i marriage and then about four religions which I have not spoken before.

Marriage:

Marriage is for the preservation of the unity of the family for all the joy of life and having lovely children from Almighty God for them. First there should have accurate informations from the parents of the children who are wishing to marry with each other. When the parents became fully confident that the marriage will work happily then they will give the children permission to marry and invite the Baha'i Committee for Marriage to come for the happy ceremony to register their marriage.

Many marriages remain happy and strong all their life and happily raising children, however, few of the marriages find misunderstanding with each other and they would report this to their Mum and Dad. The Baha'i Committee for Marriage come to help regarding this misunderstanding. But most of them, after receiving help from their own parents or Baha'i Committee for Marriage, they go back to their normal life and misunderstanding will be over. But those who remain having misunderstanding (which very few of them have) then the Baha'i Committee for marriage give them permission to live separately for one year and their parents and friends help the couple if they could be together again. Many of them get together again happily to normal life. If these few are still having the misunderstanding, then the Baha'i Committee for Marriage allow them to divorce.

About the homosexuality, this is another issue for some honourable people which is not a normal direction for purity and life. Of course they are children of God and they are respected. However, Baha'i faith does not permit the same sex marriage.

About The Four Other Religions:

Jehovah Witness

Fundamentalist Christian Sect. This Sect are not happy with many traditional Christian doctrines.

The founder was Charles Russell, he founded the religion in 1872, in Philadelphia, USA. It was initially started as International Bible Student but in 1884 they change the name to Watch Tower Bible. They call their God Jehovah. They are rejecting immortal soul and eternal torment-hell. They emphasize for the unity of all the people for all walks of life. In case of war, they remain neutral but refuse military services. We respect them and happily, they are looking for the unity of all people. They are welcome to study the Baha'i faith specially for the Unity of Mankind and World One Government and we would be happy to communicate with them for the World Government and Universal Language.

Shinto

They started to practice this religion in the 8th century and became Japan's religion. But this was originated from Buddhism.

God's ancestral and nature become spirits floating to fill the air. When the time comes for the religious festival, they would call up those gods to the place that are reserved for the occasion. The object of worship could be anything as mountain, trees, stone...

Shogatsu The New Year Festival from January 1st to the 3rd

Gods of the nature and ancestral are images of the person and objects floating in the air to come to their festival.

As Baha'is, we respect them for the peace and care. They are our family and wish them all the more worship as they are doing.

Mormon

Founded by Joseph Smith in 1830 and made his office in New York, USA. Mormon Church called Jesus Christ Latter Day Saint. Their book is Mormon and was revealed to the founder by prophet Mormon. The bad news was the founder was assassinated in 1844. Brigham Young became the successor and he moved his office to Salt Lake City, USA which he continued until 1858 and then their office was moved to Missouri, USA. Mormon Church is a form of Protestant Orthodox. We, as Baha'is respect them and love them. They are our family and we hope the investigate the truth for the unity of mankind and change the world without hate, war and prejudice.

Confucianism

The founder of this religion is Confucius, he was born in the town of Tesou in China. He became very educated man and wrote ten books in all important subjects. He was aiming to tell the people the rules of the conduct and morality, but also to restore the peace and order in the society. He started to teach to all the people including the emperor family. He believed in this way that all people live with each other with care, love and peace. He insisted that if the people properly in every situation consider in their heart and mind the result will be peace and harmony in the society. Also, he was looking for the family ties, special care and getting everyone full education. His concept had gone to the many temple in China and called it Li.

In his book, there are some good sayings that give interest to the mind and heart:

"When the knowledge achieved, then the will become sincere;

When the will is sincere, then the heart is set right;

When the heart is set right, then the personal life is cultivated;

When the personal life is cultivated, then the family life is regulated;

When the family life is regulated, then national life is orderly;

When the national life is orderly, then there is peace in this world."
