Abdul-Baha's Spiritual Movement

----

Abdul-Baha found great opportunity for the travel teaching after the war had been ended between the Ottoman government and the British empire. In 1911, he visited the Western European countries. First he travelled to United Kingdom, where he stayed in London, Bristol and Woking and also to Paris, France and met many people on that part of the world.

In the following year, in 1912, he had a long journey to many towns and cities in America and Canada. He spoke affectionately to interpret Baha'u'lla'h's messages for the love and unity among all the people. He also mentioned Baha'u'lla'h's messages for the creation of a justified World government to look after all human with care, respect and provide opportunities for all the people to receive education and work in decent and peaceful environment.

After returning from America in 1913, he visited the European countries again such as the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Austria. At that time, his strong spiritual voice and his logical teachings stood close to the hearts and minds of the many Western people.

Returning home from Europe, first he travelled to Egypt and then returned to Haifa in 1914. In that year, the first World-war started and his spiritual movement again was restricted but he did his best to help. The result of the first World-war were starvation and joblessness for the Palestine people.

Abdul-Baha came forward with constructive plan and glorious move to help the poor and needy people by supplying them with grain. After the war, the Palestine move on under the rule of the British government.

The local government, local residents and the British authority in Palestine recognized his strong humanitarian work to save the life and salvation of many innocent people especially the children. He was actively engaged with his honourable Baha'i friends to provide food and shelter for the needy citizens. He was knighted by the British Empire in 1920 for his outstanding services to the world of humanity.
